Packaging Engineering

Built to Survive the Journey

Our packaging is not an afterthought — it is engineered alongside the product. Every packaging design is tested to ISTA 3A simulation standards before approval for export.

Custom Foam Insert System

High-density EPE foam (30kg/m3), CNC-cut to each printer model with 15mm minimum wall thickness. Multi-layer design isolates the printer from all six sides. Shock absorption tested to 50G impact equivalent. Foam inserts are model-specific — no generic fillers. Each insert is serialized to match the printer model revision.

Double-Wall Export Cartons

5-ply BC-flute corrugated fiberboard rated at 12kN/m ECT (Edge Crush Test). Reinforced corners with additional 3-ply pads. Moisture-resistant coating on external surfaces. Die-cut handholds for safe handling. Each carton marked with model number, serial number range, gross/net weight, and handling instructions in English and destination language.

Climate Protection

Silica gel desiccant packs (50g per carton) for humidity control during sea freight. Humidity indicator cards (HIC) with 10%/20%/30%/40% indicator spots placed in every carton. VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) bags for steel components. All electronics sealed in ESD-protective moisture barrier bags. Temperature exposure range: -20 degrees C to +60 degrees C during transit.

Palletization & Container Loading

Standard configuration: 12 cartons per EUR pallet (1200x800mm), stretch-wrapped with 3-layer LLDPE film and edge protectors. Tilt indicators (Tip-N-Tell) and shock indicators (ShockWatch) on every pallet. FCL 20ft container: up to 120 units (10 pallets). FCL 40ft container: up to 200 units (16-18 pallets). Container loading plan provided with every shipment.

ISTA 3A Package Testing Protocol

Every packaging design undergoes ISTA 3A simulation testing before release for export. Tests replicate the real-world distribution environment.

  • Drop Test — 10 drops from 760mm on each carton face, edge, and corner
  • Random Vibration — Truck spectrum, 60 minutes per axis (3 axes)
  • Compression Test — 5x stack height at 23 degrees C and 50% RH for 24 hours
  • Impact Test — Incline impact at 1.7 m/s on leading face
  • Climate Conditioning — 72 hours at 40 degrees C / 90% RH before testing
