Partner Programs • OEM & White Label
Your Brand.
Our Proven Platform.
Launch a 3D printer under your own brand. Without the R&D investment, without the tooling costs, without the multi-year development timeline. Start with a proven platform and a structured OEM process.
Why White Label
Build Your Brand on a Battle-Tested Platform
Developing a 3D printer from scratch means a full R&D program, a multi-year timeline, and significant technical risk. The alternative, reselling generic ODMs with a logo sticker, produces an undifferentiated product that competes on price alone.
Precise3D's OEM program offers a third path: a genuinely engineered platform that you customize. Start with a proven CoreXY architecture, all-metal hotend, and pre-tuned firmware. Add your enclosure design, your colorways, your packaging, your brand identity, and take delivery on an agreed production schedule. If you are weighing private-label against sourcing a generic brand, our private-label OEM sourcing guide compares the two paths.

Responsibility Split
Who Owns Which Part of an OEM Program
White-label programs fail when nobody wrote down who answers for certification, firmware, and after-sales. This is the boundary we work to, and it can be adjusted in the agreement, but it is never left implicit.
| Workstream | Precise3D owns | You own |
|---|---|---|
| Base platform & hardware | CoreXY architecture, hotend, motion system, wiring, incoming QC and 100% print test | Choice of platform and the customization spec |
| Certification | CE LVD (EN 62368-1) and RoHS conformity on the base platform | Any additional market approvals your region requires (e.g. local EMC marks) |
| Firmware | Mainline firmware, security patches, and the customization hooks used for branding | Your choice of UI theme, boot assets, and whether to ship a branded app |
| Brand identity | Applying your silk-screen, laser marking, badge, and packaging artwork at the factory | Supplying print-ready artwork, Pantone references, and packaging structure files |
| After-sales | Spare-parts catalog, technical documentation, escalation engineering, root-cause analysis | First-line customer support and in-region repair or swap |
| IP & tooling | Retaining the base platform IP; granting license to your marks for your program only | Owning your brand, artwork, and any proprietary accessory you design |
Cost & Timeline
What Each Level of Customization Costs in Time
Customization is not free and it is not instant. This table sets realistic expectations for how long each layer adds to a program, so you can decide where to spend your design budget and where to start from the standard platform.
| Customization layer | Typical added lead time | Tooling / setup | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Logo & packaging only | 2-4 weeks | Low, artwork and print plates | Fastest path to a branded product |
| Colorway & front panel | 4-8 weeks | Moderate, panel tooling and Pantone matching | Brands differentiating on look and retail presence |
| Firmware & UI theming | 3-6 weeks | Low to moderate, software work plus test cycle | Brands wanting a distinct out-of-box experience |
| Accessory kit curation | 2-5 weeks | Low, sourcing and co-packing | Retail bundles and education programs |
| Custom enclosure geometry | 12-20 weeks | High, new tooling and re-validation of airflow and thermal behavior | Programs large enough to justify dedicated tooling |
| Branded mobile app | 10-16 weeks | High, software development and store submission | Brands with an existing connected ecosystem |
Layers are additive, not exclusive, running several in parallel shortens the total but never removes the longest single track from the critical path.
Due Diligence
How to Verify an OEM Partner Before You Commit
A white-label relationship ties your brand to someone else's factory. Run this checklist on us, and on any alternative you are considering, before you place a tooling order.
Factory and quality
- Visit or video-audit the assembly line, 3,500 m² Shenzhen network facility, available on request.
- Ask for incoming-QC records and the 100%-print-test log, not just a sample photo.
- Confirm who re-validates the product after your customization changes thermal or airflow behavior.
- Get a written re-validation scope for any enclosure geometry change.
- Ask for a named quality contact who signs off batch release.
Commercial and IP
- Get the IP split in writing, platform IP retained by the manufacturer, your marks licensed to your program only.
- Confirm the manufacturer will not sell an identical or near-identical configuration into your market under another brand.
- Agree the firmware update policy, who pushes updates, and whether your UI customizations survive them.
- State the minimum order, payment schedule, and what happens to tooling amortisation if the program is cancelled.
- Get a sample unit built to your spec before the full order, and test it against your own acceptance criteria.
