by country/region
Most 3D printer brands treat distributors as order-takers, ship product, collect payment, next. Precise3D treats distributors as strategic partners who own their markets. We don't sell direct in territories where we have an authorized distributor. We don't undercut your pricing on Amazon. We don't compete with you for your own customers.
The program is built on three principles: protected territory, wholesale pricing, and genuine technical support . Not just a price list and a shipping date.
Wholesale stock through the network, committed volume maps to tier pricing

The Precise3D Difference
Territory Protection Is Real. Here's How It Works.
Many manufacturers promise territory protection. Few deliver. Here is Precise3D's binding commitment to Authorized Distributors and Master Distributors:
The Business Case
What a Precise3D Distributorship Looks Like
We will not quote you a fixed margin or a projected calendar of profits, distributor economics depend on your market, your channels, and your local pricing. What we commit to is a product line built for repeat purchases and a program that rewards committed growth.
Before You Sign
The Questions Every Serious Distributor Asks Us
We answer these in the first call, not the third. If any answer does not fit your market, say so, it is better to find out now than after you have committed working capital.
What is the real minimum order, and can it be staged?
The branded-production minimum is 100 units. For Authorized Reseller and Authorized Distributor tiers we routinely stage the first order across two shipments so you are not holding three months of inventory before your channel has proven demand. Speak to us about a staged first order rather than assuming the 100-unit figure is a hard wall. Our SKU and inventory planning guide walks through how to size a first order against your own sell-through.
Who owns the customer relationship?
You do. We do not sell direct in territories where we have an authorized distributor, and inbound inquiries from your country are routed to your sales team. We do not run a competing Amazon store in your region. The mechanics of channel protection are documented in our MAP and gray-market channel protection guide.
What are my obligations on warranty and service?
The printer warranty runs from our factory to the end customer for the covered period, and we supply the spare-parts catalog and technical documentation you need to perform first-line service. Your obligation is first-line diagnosis and swap; ours is component supply, escalation engineering, and root-cause analysis. The boundary is documented in the agreement, not left to goodwill. Distributors setting their own service commitments to end customers should start from our distributor SLA design guide.
What happens if I do not hit my committed volume?
Pricing tiers are reviewed at each quarterly business review against committed volume. Missing a quarter does not end the agreement, it triggers a conversation about territory size and target realism. We would rather resize a territory than lose a partner who is genuinely building the market. For how quota and territory targets usually interact with compensation, see our territory and sales compensation guide.
Can I see the unit economics before I commit?
Yes, to a point. We share wholesale price bands against committed volume and the full consumables and spare-parts price list, so you can model margin against your own retail pricing. We do not publish a fixed "guaranteed margin" figure, because it depends on your market, your channel costs, and your FX exposure, any brand that quotes you one is quoting you a best case. Benchmark your own numbers against our distributor financial KPI benchmarks, and read the contract terms guide before you sign anything.
Cost & Commitment
What Each Tier Costs You in Working Capital
The right tier is a function of your channel reach and your cash cycle, not your ambition. This table shows the commitment each tier carries so you can choose the one you can actually sustain.
| Requirement | Authorized Reseller | Authorized Distributor | Master Distributor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Initial order | 100 units | 100 units (stageable across 2 shipments) | Negotiated, typically 300+ units |
| Territory | Non-exclusive | Protected, single country | Protected, multi-country region |
| Demo requirement | 1 unit for own showroom | 2 units, one must be live-demo capable | Regional demo lab + loaner pool |
| Service capability | First-line swap | First-line repair + stocked critical spares (see critical spares kit design) | Local service center + trained technicians |
| Marketing fund | None | MDF on approved activity | MDF + co-op advertising fund |
| Reporting | Quarterly sales report | Quarterly sales + stock report | Quarterly business review + 12-month forecast |
| Typical payback horizon | 3-6 months on first order | 6-12 months including demo stock | 12-18 months including service setup |
Due Diligence
Vet Us the Way You Would Vet Any Supplier
Distributors who lose money on a new brand almost always skipped this step. Here is the checklist we expect you to run on us, and the evidence we will provide for each line.
Commercial and legal
- Business licence and export registration, we provide scans on request.
- Factory audit report or third-party inspection summary for the production facility.
- Signed distribution agreement with territory, term, and termination clauses stated in writing.
- MAP policy in writing, including how violations are enforced and who enforces them.
- Named account manager and a documented escalation path for the first 90 days.
Product and technical
- CE LVD (EN 62368-1) and RoHS conformity documentation for every model you stock.
- Incoming-QC and 100%-test records for the printer line, not a marketing claim of "quality".
- Spare-parts price list and a stated lead time for critical spares to your country.
- Firmware update policy and whether updates are region-locked or open.
- Reference from at least one existing distributor in a comparable market.
