Right response: "That is fair — and I want you to make the best decision for your program. Can I send you the evaluation criteria we use when our engineering team benchmarks printers? The Live Print Demo: What to Print and Why It Matters

The centerpiece of any enterprise 3D printer demo is the live print — and what you choose to print determines whether the buyer sees a toy or a tool. Never print a Benchy. Building a Proposal That Survives the RFP Gauntlet

After a successful demo, you need a proposal that the procurement committee can evaluate against competing bids. The proposal should be a PDF, not a PowerPoint. A PDF cannot be accidentally edited by the procurement team before being shared with the committee. It prints cleanly. And it signals that this is a final document, not a draft for negotiation. This email does two things: it delivers the document, and it sets a specific follow-up date so the buyer knows the clock is ticking.

Day 3: Send the reference contact information — not as part of the proposal, but as a separate email. "I spoke with [Reference Name] at [Reference Organization] this morning. They are happy to take your call and discuss their experience deploying 30 of our printers in their engineering lab. Their direct line is [number]. Day 5: Send a value-add follow-up — not "checking in," but providing something useful. "I came across this article on [industry topic relevant to their deployment] and thought of your team.
