The highest-value parts targets on an egg line are the components that touch the shell continuously. The classic winners are egg-grader and gripper rollers, candling carry cups and cups-end caps, grader timing belts, transfer lane guides, and roller-shaft end-caps and bearings. Poultry Shackle & Conveyor Parts
On the poultry side, the shackle conveyor and transfer stages generate the strongest recurring parts demand. The recurring spares are shackle guide and anti-swing brackets, conveyor flight cleats, chain guide wear strips, evisceration-table guards, and transfer-roller end-caps. Many are UHMWPE or filled-nylon originals that print remarkably well and hold up in wet, continuous duty; volume is the driver — a single poultry line may run hundreds of shackles and several hundred metres of guide rail, each needing periodic replacement. Washdown & Sanitation Compliance
Egg and poultry lines run frequent hot washdowns with caustic and acid sanitisers that thermally shock — washing a cold part with 60-70°C chemical detergent. Sensor and switch housings, cable-pass grommets, control-box gaskets, spray-nozzle brackets and tray-loader guides are high-consumption parts bought on a standing schedule. Printed versions in food-safe PP or PC survive the wet, hot, chemically aggressive environment well and cost a fraction of the OEM part with its long lead time. Materials for High-Speed Washdown
This vertical forces you to think like a polymer engineer cross-trained in food safety. The parts live in constant wet, heat, caustic-acid wash and abrasive shell / carcass contact, and anything near the product is a food-contact surface. Build the recommendation matrix: food-safe PP or PETG for anything touching egg or meat; PC where impact and thermal-shock resistance matter (PC stays tough through thermal cycling); rigid TPU for any gripper or roller that must deform and recover; PA-CF for stiff structural shackle guides and brackets.
